Hi Heather!

I can't believe it's been over two years since we brought T-Rex (Tiki)home to join our family. He is the BEST dog in the world. He is 130 lbs!! (Completely healthy and perfect weight for his size says our vet). We moved to MA last year after my husband retired from the Marine Corp and he loves to play in the snow. He is a truly devoted dog. We just love him. I can't believe how much your home page picture looks like him? Must be a relative. I'll have to get your e-mail to send you some pics.
He is sooooo dang strong and gets super excited on walks we bought him a Sprong? harness to walk. Since his chest is so deep it doesn't fit properly. Any suggestions?
We hope you and your family are doing well. I saw your post that said you're moving to NH. It's beautiful. Good luck on your move!

Sincerely,
Mysty Chenail

Hi Heather,

I was just going through some pictures and thought you might like to see Sadr (now that he is a young man ;-)
He is a beautiful, wonderful dog. Much loved and spoiled rotten! Terry (my partner) and I are interesting in adding one more to the family. Based on Sadr's delightful personality and temprement, I wanted to see what your puppy situation was in the coming months. Can you let me know if you have pups on the way?

Frank

Note: Frank and Terry will be getting a puppy from our fairytales litter!

Well, her name is now Kadoma (the name my daughter picked) which is town in Zimbabwe. We absolutely love her!!! She's settled in perfectly to our routine, and really hasn't been bothered by anything- goats, chicken, cats- all is fine by her! She did get chased by a guinea hen her 1st week, so I think she has a healthy respect now. She's just very level-headed and makes a lot of eye contact with us- she doesn't just blindly follow the other dogs, she gets along, plays great, but is her own confidant self!

I love her structure- she'll be the type I was looking for- tall, but not rangy, nice strong and solid, yet she moves like a dream! Her nice dark mask makes my heart melt- my Leksya was dark too, and she helped define my idea of my ideal :)
I'll get some photos to you soon. One of my clients saw Kadoma last week & will be contacting you for a pet female (they already have 1 & know what they're getting into!)

Thank you again so very much! She is what we were searching for!

Gracie is by far the best dog I have ever owned. She is just gorgeous to watch running. And she has absolutely the best temperament. She loves the kids and spends most of her day glued to me when she is not sleeping on her couch. You all should be very proud of your bloodlines as the offspring are truly amazing pups.

Talk to you soon,
Heather

Big Bobby Brown Dog ( John travolta) is almost two years old now and is absolutely beautiful. I will get Jim to send photos. He is the absolute double of his dad and his gran dad, big noble head and extremely muscular ( 130 lbs) and very red and shiny. People stop me in the street and up the hills to admire him every day and he has a folowing at th dog park too. I take him on the trails every day, it is very hilly and steep so Bobby is very fit and very strong with all the climbing - amazing when you think about the wee weak puppy that you nursed round the clock! He is so mellow and laid back and loves going to the dog park too tosniff and play but nobody would get in the house without his permission, he goes from sleeping on the couch ( he has his own couch, it is ridiculous!) ) to fully alert at the door in one second. Then there's the food- he lives to eat and is very slobbery at the very thought of food and he is quite an accomplished thief. His meals are the highlight of his life and he sprints when we open the food cupboard, as you say, don't be on the tracks whent he train is coming! We absolutely adore him and he has quite a fan club. He runs around a lot with Sacha, our greyhound / saluki, so he's quite fast too.

Adopted puppy @ 6 months of age.
I should start out with, best dog ever, but I have only had him for one day and that would be unfair to   all the other dogs I have had. There are brains there with a lack of hard headedness.

I introduced the other dogs to him after i fed him a little and he wagged his tail at me a few times. All  went well. Little dog likes him but was intimidated when Render wanted to join in on the play. The old man, my male, doesn't like him and tries to stare at him and intimidate. Render is taking it all in stride. He likes his crate and so far feels safe in it and goes inside freely. You must have leashed him a few times cause for a pup he walks wonderfully. Walked him twice so far and his head is on a swivel with his nose smelling everything he comes into contact with. My little girl loves him and says his name over and over.

Things are great. Hunter is an amazing dog. He is so good. He knows his boundaries in the house and that the back yard is his. He digs a little and our terrace is covered in his paw prints but I can tolerate it since he is otherwise very good. He is mellow and sweet. He's also starting to look like Maverick to us.

He's been to the vet twice and is in great shape. He gained 10 pounds between visits! I was blown away by that. He was up to 33 pounds last week. He looks sleek and strong. Also, no worms! The vet says you did a great job and we can't agree more. He is very healthy and his temperament has been a great match for our family. The kids love him.

I take him for brief walks and he does pretty well. He remains calm when the other dogs are going nuts. Our neighbors love him. He went for his first swim at our neighbors house today. Afterwards he sat calmly while I bathed him.

All the best
Joe

She (Ava) is the star of the dog park loved by dogs big and small. Her boyfriend weighs about 20 lbs. She can run with the big dogs and then will lie on her back and let the little puppies crawl all over her belly. She is such a dream. I would like another!
Take Care, Mollie
PS I forwarded your e-mail to my friend from Dallas.

Just wanted to let you know how much we love our ridgeback. She is so much calmer than a lab pup. She has a vet appt next week for another round of shots, her second visit since we have had her. Her name is Casey and I will run by her registered name by you when we come up with one.

Thanks!
Tim

I can't tell you how happy we are with "Melika", mean Princess or Queen in African, and she certainly is....she is definitely not the shy one anymore...we have had her with several big dogs, kids and she is socializing very well.....Taking her for walks, she isn't crazy about the leash at the start but seems to get into it as we go.

Did you get the puppy pictures I sent the first week? If not let me know and I will send them along with some others....

She has had her shots, her vet visit, and is 16 pounds...we do have her sleeping with us and we love it, she is so playful and potty training is doing pretty well...We start classes tomorrow night...

Let me know if you didn't get the pictures, and I will resend them....take care and we will keep you posted.

Hey there,

I just wanted to drop ya a line and tell ya what a fine looking group of pups you got down there. Looks like Riley is a natural mother. I check your website from time to time. Just to catch up....LOL. I hope you and your family are doing well. I can't believe summer is almost over all ready.

Masada is doing great. He is at the moment sacked out on my bed with his big head propped on my feet...LOL. I don't allow him on the bed to sleep except in the evening if we are just relaxing before bed. He kinda takes advantage i guess. He had a full day today. We just got in from Devil's Den State Park. We went on a pretty good hike today. Well, after we got him clean. My three year old neice stayed the weekend with us and well, this morning she was sitting in the living room finger painting. Of course masada has to be laying right there and well, while i was making breakfast. She decided he really should be Blue! Thank the lord it was only water color paint....(rolling eyes). I can't believe he is already almost 2. I just set his appointment up for the 24th next month at the vet. Its crazy how time flies. He is really filling out. His chest and shoulders are massive. He turns heads and draws the crowds any where we go, but he loves the attention..LOL. It can be kind of a pain, when i'm trying to get in and out quick. But its nice to see people so intrigued and interested in him and the breed. Most people have never even heard of the breed. I think we are going to maybe go in a week or two up to the mountains and maybe takes some pics for his 2 year mark. i'll be sure and send you some up dated shots.

Anyhow, I don't want to ramble. I just wanted to send you and email and see how you were doing and compliment the new litter. I wish i had thought to take some pics of him and hannah this morning, when she decided he should look like a smurf...I walked into the living room and they both looked up at me, like they had just got caught in the cookie jar...I couldn't help but laugh!!

Heather,
Just wanted to let you know that Ali Baba is doing very well indeed. What a delightful character he is! He's confident and curious and has learned so much since he came to us. He cried the first night, but was fine from then on. He's sleeping in a crate at night and had no problem adjusting to that. Housebreaking is going very easily. He's absolutely adorable and we couldn't possibly love him any more than we do already.

I took him to the vet yesterday (as agreed) and he weighed 13.5 pounds!! Is that possible? I couldn't believe it so we weighed him a second time just to make sure. I saw on your web site that he weighed 7.5 lbs when he was 7 weeks old. He's 9 weeks old now. That means he gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks! Amazing! (Do you have any idea how much he weighed when I picked him up?)

The very best part is that my dog, Grace, has fallen for him, too. She even let's him sleep with her, which he loves. They wrestle and chew on each other sometimes for 45 minutes at a stretch! She has lots of extra loose skin around her neck and he'll bite her neck while she sweetly holds his little ear between her big teeth. She also taught him not to bark and scratch at the back door. After trying that once, he noticed that she sits and waits quietly. Now he copies her and sits like a little statue. She has so much fun with him - he is just what she needed to come out of her grief.

As you can tell, we are all completely gaga about him. Please tell Summer and Savannah how much we appreciate the great job they did with this boy. We appreciate it very much.

I'll keep you posted about his progress. I'm not quite certain of his name. The debate continues.

Good luck with your upcoming litter.
Warm regards,
Debra
