 Bella was my first Ridgeback! She is exactly what a ridgeback should be. She is loving, sweet and very watchful over my children. She always has one eye on them when we are away from the house. She gets pretty upset when they go somewhere without her and is so "relieved" when they get back safe that her whole body wiggles. She is so gentle with them.
Bella often goes riding with us on our airboat and loves playing in the water with me and the kids! I never have to worry about where she is... she's always a step behind me! She is my shadow! Bella loves hugs and kisses and sometimes... she nibbles back!  We took Bella Lure Coursing in April and she ran part of the course before she realized her "Mom" wasn't running with her. She promptly stopped and came running back to me! I'm sure we can convince her to leave my side long enough to try for the whole course next time! We'll give it another go in the fall (when it's cooler!).  |

01/27/07 The babies are here!!
Bella gave birth to NINE beautiful babies early Saturday morning. 5 Boys and 4 Girls! They are all black nosed with varying amounts of black mask. All ridged, no excessive white and so far no dermoids! We are just so thrilled at having such a clean litter. Check out our PUPPIES page for all the updates and puppy pictures! 01/07/07 Bella is going to be a mom! Bella was bred to Kengali's Southern Comfort HBR, aka Duke. (See pics of him on Our Friends page.) He is a beautiful boy and they compliment each other in so many ways! We just can't wait to see what Bella and Duke's babies look like!
